Navigating the world of special education can be complex and overwhelming. With my experience and assistance, I am with you every step of the way. My name is Qian (Chian), and I am here to advocate for your family and your child.
About Me
I am Qian (Chian) or Alicia, Bilingual (Mandarin and English) special education advocate, passionate about ensuring children receive the services they need.
Because I have a special needs child at home, and have experienced many difficulties, I have decided to become an advocate, to help my own child and others. I understand what it feels like to be on this journey. Having spent half of my life in China and the other in the US, I am aware of the differences in culture, and how it can affect the support that families receive. I have also been through all the phases of this journey, from denial to acceptance, which enables me to connect with families on a personal level and to support them in ways that they can understand and appreciate.

What a great job Qian did today! She advocated for my grandson at IEP meeting. She helped get him more time on 1:1 support for his learning disability which was the main goal. It’s been very difficult dealing with MPS with getting supports, with Qian the meeting when smoothly the district heard and responded to all concerns raised to help Isaiah.
